10) compare= to see if they are similar; to examine (two or more objects, ideas, people , etc.)


contra and counter = against or opposite

1) counterclockwise- to mover the opposite direction of a clock

• 2) counterbalance- to add weight to a scale to make it be not balance; a weight used to balance an opposed weight

3) counterfeit= made in imitation; a fake item

4) contrast= to show differences or opposites when compared

• 5) contrarian= A person who takes an opposing/opposite view of someone else

6) contradict- to say the opposite (up/down, yes/no)

• 7) contraband = anything not allowed by the law; anything illegal

• 8) contrary- to say your opinion in the opposite of everyone else's

• 9) counterexample: to give a sample of what not to do
